Goal 1:                         Student Achievement –RRR- Elementary

The Brasher Falls Central School District will promote continual improvement of curriculum and instruction through focus upon Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships in learning and instruction.

Strategy:                      To increase student learning in Quad D instruction and activities.

Strategy:                      To analyze and improve relationships with students and community in order to increase student achievement.

Target:                         To increase each student cohort’s proficiency on the NYS ELA & Math Assessments by 4%

Conversion of one project, currently in their curriculum, from “Analog” to “Digital” through the use of technology to promote higher order thinking skills as facilitated by student engagement.

Teachers will be provided with monthly technology training in their monthly staff meeting. 

 

Teachers will convert one project from being “Analog” to “Digital” over the course of the academic year.

The Brasher Falls Central School District will promote continual improvement of curriculum and instruction, in line with the Common Core Learning Standards, to raise the quality of student achievement.

Strategy:                            To embed the philosophy and practices of the Common Core Learning Standards into everyday practices at BFCSD.

Target:                         To increase each student cohort’s proficiency on the NYS ELA & Math Assessments by 4%

Implementation of weekly Snapshot Assessments in the subject areas of ELA and math.

Develop weekly Snapshot Assessments for each grade level based upon curriculum maps and archival interim assessment data.

Strategy:                      Implementation of student centered goal setting and tracking.

Short Term Target:     To increase each student cohort’s proficiency on the NYS ELA & Math Assessments by 4%
